Our Philosophy

Saint Aidan's School uses a developmental approach to early childhood education. We encourage honesty, forgiveness, acceptance and love as the foundation for the growth of the individual. We also respect the diverse beliefs of our families in the classes and community of our school. Children are grouped homogenously by age. We recognize the value of heterogeneously grouped children, but feel that much smaller groupings or extra adults are necessary to take care of the differing needs of different ages.

Our Goal is Three-Fold:

To encourage growth.
We nurture the whole child – socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively and spiritually.

To nurture relationships.
We respect the importance of family and friendship in your child's life. Parents are a valued part of our school family and are welcome to join in all classroom activities.

To broaden sense of community.
We encourage respect for each other and for our planet. We strive to help children learn to think and act responsibly and lovingly towards their companions and their world.
